Chatrandom Review

This site is one of the most popular roulette chat sites nowadays. It’s a solid Chatroulette alternative, and has grown by leaps and bounds within the last year or so. Marketing must be the forte of the owners, because the growth really is remarkable. So remarkable, in fact, that Chatrandom has risen from it’s humble beginnings of what was essentially obscurity to now being I believe the #3 most popular site in the niche, so yea, a very impressive job done by the founders. It seems like with sites like this you really have to reach a certain number of users online at any given time before you have any shot of really making it, and that seems to have occurred in this case and then some. I guess the point is you will never have an issue with not having enough fresh faces on this website, if you catch my drift!

Anyway, the site has extra features beyond that of the typical random chat site. In addition to webcam roulette, the site has a group video chat room option that is quite popular – there are multiple rooms with hundreds of people in them at any given time and no shortage of entertainment! On top of this extra option, they also have another extra option called “multi chat” that also involves chat rooms but of a different style. The style of this functionality seems to be more based on viewing “shows” or creating your own live “show” and gaining as many viewers as possible. You can view as many as 4 live feeds all at the same time, so that’s pretty cool, and you can rotate between a few different major rooms to see who all is available. Similar to the group option already mentioned, this one also has hundreds of users in multiple rooms available to chat with. At any rate, if this sounds interesting you can visit the website at www.chatrandom.com.

iMeetzu Review

iMeetzu is in a category of its own when you compare it to the other popular roulette chat sites. You see, the creators really went all out with this one. Rather than stopping with the initial random chatting functionality they added a whole new concept into the mix, a stranger-based social network. That’s right, those same crazy people you next-ed now have their very own profiles, and you can even add them to your friends! Yes, I joke, but in reality it’s actually quite cool. If you’re lucky you may even meet someone cool that lives nearby you, or in other words, make real world friends! The community is quite active actually, and the site has a lot of the same functionality that Facebook does, but it’s still kind of in Zuckerberg dorm room mode, if you catch my drift.

Anyway, the social network is but one piece of the iMeetzu puzzle, they also have plenty of straight up gangsta chatting features. They have text-only, just like Omegle, and they have video-only, just like Chatroulette. BUT, they also have a little something extra, which is a group chat rooms option that includes webcam capabilities – it’s pretty sweet. So yea, iMeetzu really does have it all, and it has plenty of users online too. In other words, it’s got the full package, so you should definitely check them out! Find them at www.imeetzu.com.

Chatroulette Review

If you haven’t heard of Chatroulette, you’ve obviously been living under a rock in terms of keeping up with internet memes! Okay, so maybe keeping up with internet memes isn’t really all that important, but still, who are you??!!! Anyway, Chatroulette essentially provides a chatting service that mimics the game of roulette in the sense that you are randomly connected with another user, while you’re both streaming yourselves on webcam live. If that sounds stupid to you, it’s not – and you’re stupid! It is the most awesome-est thing ever, and this site came up with the idea in the first place! Well, at least the video part, the concept of “roulette chat” actually was invented by Omegle, but Chatroulette made the concept way more popular, so I guess in the end they both deserve equal credit maybe? I don’t know.

Anyway, as you might expect with the first site in a particular category that is sort of new and intriguing, Chatroulette went viral and gained a lot of prominence, getting featured on major media outlets and even in South Park. Although initially it had more users than it does now, it seems to be maintaining its current user levels quite handily, and to the tune of millions a month! So yea, there are plenty of people online at any given time to ensure you always get a fresh batch of randomness. You can check out the random webcam chat granddaddy of them all by going to www.chatroulette.com.

Omegle Review

Omegle If the word “Omegle” doesn’t mean anything to you, don’t despair. It is, after all, rather unorthodox compared to your typical chat site name. According to Wikipedia, the founder choose this name as a “combination of the words omega and mingle.” Knowing this, of course, causes the name to make more sense to the average user. But with such an unsual name, could this site be any good? Frankly, it’s amazing! Omegle is one of the most popular chat websites on the web, and it uses a “random” or “roulette” format similar to the infamous Chatroulette. However, there are key distinctions between Omegle and Chatroulette:

  1. Omegle came first. Yep, it’s true, Omegle was around before Chatroulette ever hit the internets! BUT, it was text-only.
  2. Omegle has both text-only and video-only versions. This is great for users who get tired of showing their faces, or tired of having to mute that annoying music that’s too loud.
  3. Omegle has “spy mode”. This mode allows you to ask a question and then watch two people have a conversation and try to answer it, it can be very entertaining!
  4. Omegle has interest-based matching. You can directly type in what you’re interested in, or even use your Facebook likes! This is a great feature when you’re looking for that targeted connection, but let’s face it, sometimes you just want to go 100% random and see what happens 🙂

So there you have it, Omegle is WAY different from Chatroulette. And there are other sites out there that are different from BOTH of these, such as iMeetzu. But, we’re not going to get into all the other options right now, first you have to check out the site we’ve already been talking about! You can visit Omegle at www.omegle.com.
